I have been providing evaluations for undocumented immigrants seeking legal remedies to their immigration status since 2002.  Seeing a mental health professional for the purpose of an evaluation is often an unfamiliar experience for our immigrant clients. I seek to create an environment in which our clients feel safe and comfortable sharing their personal stories and experiences.  I approach my work with a desire to understand the individual within the context of their personal and family history, as well as their cultural background.
