My Style

We all have it within us to create a life for ourselves that is purposeful, peaceful and enriching. When obstacles stand in the way of achieving this, I want to help you address them. My approach involves compassion, warmth, and reflective thinking which provides the safety and security needed to embark on the journey.

My Specialities / Area of Focus

ADHD, anxiety, coping skills, depression, family relationships/conflicts, life transitions, marital and premarital, parenting, personal or professional relationship issues, self esteem and feelings of self worth.

I have a speciality in ADHD, helping individuals play to their strengths and manage their challenges. I also provide support and direction to parents raising a child with ADHD.

What I Want You To Know About Therapy

Therapy is a process that assists an individual to identify and use their internal strengths and external supports to help them address an issue or concern. This process involves self reflection, reframing old narratives, self trust, and a strong desire to move forward.  This is all done in an environment that offers compassion, empathy and professional guidance.

Professional Background

After a successful career in corporate management, I came to the conclusion that helping people reach their full potential gave me the most satisfaction. With the support of my therapist, I went back to school and began my clinical training. I completed a masters clinical social work program at Wayne State University and then went on to do a fellowship at the Yale University Child Study Center.  I have been practicing my clinical work in Chicago for over 20 years.
